Though it's only been a short, while I've nvr had a friend like U

But soon you will be leaving me and I don't know what to do 

You helped me to laugh, you dried my tears

The miles soon stretched between us

Parting us, making a gap between us

What will happen to this bond? 

Will we reunite again or this special tie we’ll be gone? 

So many questions I have

This desperate aching in my heart that won't let go

Which leads me now to tell U something that you must know 

The friendship you have given me, the joy you bring my soul 

It has filled me with such strength and love, once unforetold 

Time that we've spent together

How can it be so short? 

I thought U would remain here, here and forever 

Sadly, wishful thinking it was, now I have come to see

We may soon be separated

How can I say goodbye? No words, but just tears fall

The hours spent together will soon dwindle down to few 

Forcing me to let go and start this year anew
